Importance of Praying in the Mornings
One thing written about Jesus was that he gave us a specific prayer to pray:
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. ~ Matt. 6: 9-13
If we start our day in prayer and include the “Lord’s Prayer” above, we are starting our day from a spiritual basis. In the Lord’s Prayer, we are declaring God is “our Father” – not just my father, or your father, but God created everyone. Right there we are acknowledging that each and every one of us has the same heavenly Father. Won’t that help aleviate false lies of race, gender, etc?
With this prayer, we begin by knowing something about God. We are declaring God is the God of all, the Father of all. That paints a very big picture of God. It helps expand our understanding of him.
